1 bread slice
50ml olive oil
2 celery stalks
3 garlic cloves
400gr canned tomatoes
500gr beef mince
For the meatballs:Chop one of the onions and parsley.Soak the bread slice in milk.In a large bowl,put the mince,add the onion and parsley.Cut the bread slice into small pieces and add to the bowl.Add the egg,salt and pepper.Mix everything well with hands and leave it in the fridge.
For the tomato sauce:Cut the second onion,carrot and celery.Cut the garlic.Preheat a pot with the olive oil.Add the onion,carrot,celery and garlic.Cook until soft.After that,add the canned tomatoes,salt and thyme.Reduce the heat and simmer.
Remove the bowl with mince form the fridge.Form a meatballs.Preheat a pan with little bit of olive oil and cook them for a little bit.
After this,put the meatballs in the pot with sauce and cook for additional 30-40min.
Serve with sprinkle of parsley on the top.
